Got my 360 back!! :) |

YAY!! I got it back the day before yesterday... Well, I kind of got it back. Instead of fixing it, they decided to ship me a replacement console. The one
they've sent me is a newer model which is nice. I'm really happy to have my 360 back, and am pleased with the speed of the repair process.

Good to hear. Microsoft have just replaced a lot of consoles instead of repairing them. If it's got an hdmi port and your old one didn't then I highly
recommend getting a cable (as long as you have an HD tv of course)

Lol, that'd mean getting a HDTV to go with the cable. My girlfriend is using my HDTV as a normal TV, and she thinks the crappy 15" non-HD LCD TV that
she got me for Christmas is a good enough replacement... My 19" LG widescreen HDTV cost me over £250! This crap TV she got me only cost her £50!

Well clearly you have to dump her, she sounds like a wrong-un ;0)
Try applying a bit of logic to the situation when speaking to her. She isn't watching anything in high definition, therefore there is no need for her to have the HDTV. Whereas you have an HD console, and thus you need the HDTV. Just lie and say the replacement console only works in HD, so you HAVE to have that television. Failing that, wait until the baby distracts her, and then just steal it.

I've tried explaining that all to her, but she still wants to use my nice expensive HDTV...

I just treated myself to a new TV. Kind of regret it now though - we got told today at work we may be facing redployment due to the recession. Fuck it though -

Being financially responsible is all well and good, but you only live once and sometimes you need to do things while you have the chance. Don't regret the
things you do, only the things you don't.
I'm not as rich as I might have been when it comes to money in the bank, but I've experienced things and seen stuff which is worth more to me than money. Would I have taken a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, drove a Corvette though the Mojave Desert, stood on the bow of the Maid of the Mist at Niagara, attended a Wrestlemania at MSG, sung at Sun Studios, stood in Elvis Presley's house, walked among giant redwoods in California, seen sunrise over Highway 1, stood at the foot of the Statue of Liberty, watched sunset over Scottish lochs, drove powerful Sports Cars, enjoyed works of art hundreds of years old, met my heroes, travelled the world, and met some of my best friends if I had worried above every penny ?
